The Moon Grows Bright Upon The Pumpkin
stands on a stool inside of her pantry.
Reaching
Up, up, up on tip toe
She points a long finger at the spine of
Recipes and Charms For The Fall
Then, flicks it back into her grasp.
The jars of preserves on the pantry shelf
Rattle in anticipation
As she hops down-
And Poppy Lucinda,
The Black Cat near the stove,
Looks up from a nap with A Sparkle in her eye.
This Little Witch is Mumbling
"mmm...no... no... no...."
Then at last a Smile And A Shout---
"Thats it !"

Combine flour, baking soda & powder, salt and spices and toss together with a fork.
With your finger lightly Draw A Large Heart into the sift and set aside.
In Large bowl (pink if you have one) , combine shortening, pumpkin (the symbol of the moon and protection) , eggs, sugar (to sweeten life), milk, walnuts & chocolate (love) together all the while thinking pink and streaming love from your heart thru your arm out the end of your spoon into your mixture.
Stir in dry ingredients just until blended - no lumps,
But don't worry about bits of shortening as they will "disappear" in the baking.
