Hanging By A Thread

How is there enough money to give to everyone and everything ?

Its very hard I think.

This Old World is really in a Pickle In Many Ways , isn't it ?

Charities and organizations that help

are hurting too

and I can only give so much.

One Thing I found that I could do

Was To Post About This.

It's Free To Post

(so far !)

and it's Free To Vote.

Two Things That Took About Five Minutes

and My Email Address Entry For The Voting Platform.

This Effort

Mediocre as it is

Might HELP bring much needed monies to the struggling

Art Aids Art / Monkey Biz Organization

It's Something To Do For FREE

Right Now

And it could turn out to be

That That Effort

Makes

25,000 much needed bucks

Happen.

Dear Sandy

I continue to enjoy visiting ArtTeaLife, which I learned about shortly after our South African beadwork event at San Gabriel Bead Company a couple of years ago.

I'm not sure if you've been getting our e-newsletters, or if you've been visiting our blog (it's finally up!), but things have really progressed in the last year. We finished construction on an art and education center in Khayelitsha, where we are piloting several educational projects and launching locally run small businesses focusing on the arts.

We have entered a small business competition to showcase (and hopefully fund!) the art-tour businesses, and have submitted a nice video.

Here it is: http://community.intuit.com/contests/cfz1XYAzuqllvkab8P4pmk

And here is a link to our "voting page" on our website: http://www.artaidsart.org/?s=2515&p=8057

As a follow up to your initial post, would you consider featuring this in your blog (even if only temporarily -- competition runs through May 31)? As a small organization, our best hope to be among the top 5 prize winners is through the support of those who have seen our work first hand and can share it with their networks with personal endorsements. Winning would have a huge impact on hundreds of women artists.

Being in communications, perhaps you have some other suggestions. Every little bit helps.... We are hanging in there by a thread right now.

I look forward to your reply.

Peace
Tom

Spring is a time to
stretch,

outward,
flex and gravitate to the light.

Good-bye barren winter
and welcome to that
new confidence in the air
and a landscape
sparkling with nature's jewellery.
